Our Providers

Dr. Michaela Gearhart joined Upstate Podiatry Group in August 2026 and cares for patients at the Laurens location. Originally from Crestline, Ohio, Dr. Gearhart completed her undergraduate studies at Kent State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She continued her education at the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine, earning her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine.

Dr. Gearhart completed a comprehensive three-year podiatric medicine and surgery residency at the Dayton VA Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident during her final year. Her training provided extensive experience in the surgical and nonsurgical management of foot and ankle conditions, wound care, and diabetic limb salvage. During her residency, she developed a deep passion for caring for veterans and is excited to bring that same dedication to the patients and families of the Laurens community.

Having grown up in a small community, Dr. Gearhart understands the importance of having compassionate, high-quality care close to home. She is passionate about serving communities like the one that shaped her. Dr. Gearhart believes in listening closely to her patients and involving them in the treatment-planning process, helping each patient feel informed and confident in their care.

Outside of the office, Dr. Gearhart enjoys hiking and spending time outdoors, caring for her plants and tortoise, and making memories with her fiancé and their baby.
